2023
Pictures of each stage of 2023. This was our first year. We grew 400 plants. The feeding schedule was not understood so several of the plants were malnourished and showed with smaller crowns at the end. The yellow flowers did not do as well this year. We suffered a pretty high loss rate because the fungicide was not delivered in time. Fungicide needs to be applied every month regardless of the looks of the plants as a preventative measure. All of the plants that were available for sale were sold. We experienced about a 12% loss on the crop.

2024
Pictures of each stage of 2024. This year we planted 600 mums. We understood the process better and we also took better pictures showing the growth of each plant. This shows better when looking at how each variety grew. We did not have the soil proportions calculated well this year and had to scramble on planting day. We did better with watering, feeding, and chemical treatment. The yellow varietiy this year struggled as well with smaller crowns and more losses. We suffered about a 6% loss. The plants were too close together and we had bald spots on the crowns where they touched one another. All of the plants were sold and we actually ran out and had to short a few customers.
